I am writing again, finally!

I have been wanting to write a blog-post for a very long time but I end up not doing so for two reasons. The first one is because of the presumed idea of post turning out bad and other because of the laziness.

My life has been interesting for a past few weeks. The joy of having a camera tops the poll. So I went for a photo-walk with my friends just so that I can figure out how to use the camera and it was FUN. Although I spent hours shooting numerous shots on a single subject, the one shot that turns good gives you all the happiness and patience you need to do it all over again.

I am on F.R.I.E.N.D.S spree right now. Now don't start off with "I am a decade late" and stuff like that. I mean the only difference is you had fun then and I am having it NOW.

I have been reading this book called "SHANTARAM" which has to be the most amazing book I have read so far. Basically the city in the story is Mumbai and what we see as a dirty city is described so beautifully by the author that your perception is definitely bound to change. The vague review is because I haven't completed it yet. Thanks to my ecology teacher who seized it. (Oh that would be because I was reading in the class =p)

I ll keep more blogs coming.

The wait is over.

Sometimes the BEST feeling in the world is when you can get over your impatience.
When you don't have to wait any longer.
When you finally get what you have been wanting for a very long time.
Everyone on this planets longs for someone or something. In my case, its the camera. The DSLR, EOS 1000D. The most precious thing I own.
JazakAllah!

Sufiyan, Me and Myself!

I am Sufiyan Ahmed, a mechanical engineer in the making who loves photography. Being a photographer is what I aspire to be and being a mechanical engineer is what destiny chose for me. I believe in destiny. 18 years of my life have passed, of which every important moment is proof for destiny's existence. For instance, I sat for my engineering entrance examination with the sweaty smell of morning's cricket game all over the exam hall. To my surprise, I got in to the college under scholarship program.

I love photography. It is an activity which interests me the most. A camera in my hand will create a whole new world in which every moment, I ll cherish. My pictures have been coming out well in Macro mode. I would love to master the art of portrait and wildlife photography. Yousuf Karsh, a brilliant photographer who has captured the portraits of Einstein, Sir Winston Churchill, etc developed in me a keen interest of portrait photography. I listen to lot of music. People call me metal-head. But the genre of music I listen to changes according to the mood I am in. Rise Against is my favorite band of all time. Although I have not been much of a traveler, exploring new places are always fun and of course photographing them too.

There are these fictional character which I admire a lot. The first one would be Sir Albus Dumbuldore from the Harry Potter series. His display as a teacher, mentor, a man of patience, a man of respect, love, power, wisdom and knowledge is truly amazing. The second one would be Mr. Munro from Prisoner of birth, a classic fiction novel by Jeffery Archer. Mr. Munro always raises the respect I have for lawyers. They play with words and get you justice. The third one would be Atticus from To Kill a Mocking Bird. Atticus is a lawyer too but what I admire is the patience he has. To his children, to the cruel word, to his enemies.

I ll keep more of the blog posts coming.
Till then,
Cheers!
